Approaching Prospects at Events
As we roll into Spring, many of you will have shows, events, and conferences scheduled to market your business. There are also Community Meetings, Rotary Club Meetings, Chamber of Commerce Mixers, and more. The challenge becomes approaching people at these functions. If you have a booth, you can create a contest or raffle promotion using a Contest Lead Box to get people to your booth. Promotional giveaways will also attract people to your booth. If you notice, many of the successful marketers are the ones who approach people. Approaching people walking by is easier said than done. However, this is the one method of ensuring your attendance at an event is a success.

To make approaching people, easier for your marketing team, use Guest Passes, " VIP Plastec Cards", or Rack Cards or Post Cards. You should have a special offer printed on them with of course your contact information. This will make it easier to approach people. By having something to give to people, approaching them becomes a much easier task and makes conversation more natural. You know the old saying, "It is better to give than to receive", is clearly true in this case.

Add A Contest Promotion
One great strategy is to run a contest promotion with your event or simply if you are just out in the field marketing. By running a contest promotion, you now have the opportunity to capture the prospect's contact information. If you have a booth, Have the prospect come over to the booth to fill out the entry form. If you are out in the field, have an entry form pad ready and place the entries in an envelope.
